About these terms
These terms govern your use of SOC Night Shift and its app website, provided by XenVault Interactive (“we”, “us”). By using the app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using them.
You must be able to accept these terms under the laws that apply to you. If you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission, obtain it before using the app. Follow the age rating and eligibility rules shown in your app store.
Your permission to play
Subject to these terms and the applicable store agreement, you may install and use the app for personal, non-commercial entertainment on devices you are entitled to use. This permission is limited and non-exclusive.
The game, writing, artwork, audio, interface, and other app materials are protected by intellectual property rights belonging to XenVault Interactive or their respective licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. Third-party font licenses and other applicable licenses remain in effect.
You may export bundled evidence using the game’s own controls for your personal playthrough. This does not grant permission to redistribute the game’s asset library or use its materials commercially.
A fictional simulation
SOC Night Shift is a triage puzzle and narrative game. Its people, organizations, security alerts, conversations, and evidence are fictional. Any resemblance to actual people or events is coincidental unless expressly identified.
The app is not a security monitoring tool, incident response service, professional certification, or professional advice. It does not protect your device or connect to real company systems. Do not rely on game outcomes to make real security, employment, or legal decisions.
Responsible use
Use the app and website lawfully. Do not redistribute unauthorized copies, resell access, remove ownership notices, interfere with the website, or use our materials to infringe another person’s rights.
Restrictions on copying, modifying, or reverse engineering apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not limit rights granted by an applicable open-source license. Do not send us passwords, personal security credentials, or confidential employer data in a support request.
Local saves & availability
Game progress and preferences are stored locally. Resets, clearing storage, deleting the app, device loss, and some content updates may remove or invalidate progress. Exported files are managed separately by you and your chosen storage services.
We do not run a cloud save or account recovery service and cannot recover local saves that we do not hold. Features, content, and compatibility may change with updates. We do not promise perpetual availability or support for every device or operating system version.
App stores & purchases
Downloads and any payments are handled by the store from which you obtain the app. Prices, availability, billing, refunds, and cancellation rights are governed by that store’s rules and applicable law. These terms do not remove any statutory refund or consumer protection rights.
For an iOS download, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies where Apple provides it as the applicable license. These website terms do not replace that agreement. Google Play’s applicable terms also govern downloads through Google Play.
Apple and Google do not provide developer support for SOC Night Shift. For questions about the game, contact XenVault Interactive.
Privacy
Our privacy policy describes local app storage, optional support correspondence, and technical website requests. It explains how to remove local data and contact us about privacy.
Warranties & responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without additional promises that they will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, XenVault Interactive is not liable for indirect or consequential losses caused by your use of the app or website. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer guarantees or remedies. Your local law may give you additional rights.
Changes, stopping use & contact
You can stop using the app at any time and delete it from your device. We may update these terms as the game or website changes. Updated terms will appear here with a revised effective date; any notice or agreement required by law will be provided.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Please contact us about concerns so we can try to resolve them.
